The Challenge
As sustainability became increasingly important to Nile Developments' business strategy, the organization recognized the need to build a stronger understanding of sustainability and ESG across its workforce.
Employees across different functions had varying levels of sustainability knowledge, making it challenging to create a shared understanding and translate organizational sustainability priorities into everyday decisions.
The goal was clear: develop practical capabilities across teams while creating a learning experience that could engage employees with different roles, responsibilities, and levels of expertise.
The Approach
ACTS worked closely with the organization to understand its sustainability priorities, workforce structure, and existing capability gaps.
Rather than delivering a one-size-fits-all training program, ACTS designed a structured learning journey tailored to different employee groups.
The program combined foundational sustainability knowledge with practical ESG applications, interactive workshops, expert-led sessions, and real-world business cases.
The Learning Program
The learning journey was designed around three key stages:
Build Awareness
Introduce employees to sustainability, climate, and ESG fundamentals.
Develop Practical Skills
Equip teams with knowledge they could apply within their specific business functions.
Enable Action
Help participants connect sustainability concepts to real organizational challenges and decision-making.
The program was delivered through a combination of live workshops, digital learning resources, practical exercises, and assessments.
The Results
“The program helped our teams move beyond sustainability awareness and understand how ESG connects to their everyday roles and decisions
What's Next
Building sustainability capability is an ongoing journey.
Following the initial program, ACTS continues to support the organization in identifying emerging skill needs, developing advanced learning pathways, and strengthening sustainability capabilities across key teams.
The next phase focuses on deeper technical learning for specialized functions and leadership development for employees responsible for driving sustainability transformation.
